My name is Phylisia, other- wise known as Slim so that’s where Phylisia Slim name came from. I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York with an Jamaican background and the oldest of four girls. I’m a very well-guarded, adventurous, strong minded, non judgemental, last but not least caring person. At the age of twelve I started feeling comfort when I write. So I found myself writing poetry when I didn’t feel like being bother and wanted some of my feelings off of my chest. When I was fourteen I decided to give modeling a try and enrolled into Barbizon School Of Modeling in Manhattan.

ABOUT ME
That’s when I finally realized God did grant me with a gift after all. By the time I was sixteen I already moved to Georgia with a whole new life thrown at me. In 2007 I gave birth to my son named Kamari Anthony Reynolds. I do believe without having him in my life I know for a fact I would not be the person I am today and because of that I know I’m a strong woman.
As years pass by I was modeling in shows for Bronner Brothers, Atlanta International Show, Walk Fashion Show, etc. Much less working as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and also a full time mother. So yes I’ve always been a busy person. But don’t let this busy lady fool you now I still know how to make time for the love ones alright.
When I turned nineteen years old I met an guardian angel who saw a talent in me that I never seen coming. Writing about my life story was something I never thought would be so powerful to a point where it can help others. If you think about it someone had to walk through the jungle to let the others know which direction to turn to. So that’s when I decided to suck it up and let my story be told in my book “When Will This Dark Cloud End?” I know that I’m just now getting started to something big in my life that I would not take back at all. I hope you enjoy my autobiography page and before I bring this to an end if you or someone you know are in a similar situation and you don’t know where to turn to all you have to do is hit a sista up! Because yes, I’m here for you!
Thank you very much and God bless!
